Welcome to the Virtual "Sisters of Ukraine" (SOU) Wiki for sister partnerships between organizations in Ukraine and elsewhere -- particularly in the United States and especially in the State of Minnesota, in that state's southeast region, in the Riverland area's counties (Mower, Freeborn and Steele) and initially in the City of Austin (Mower County Seat).

Kherson National Technical University (KNTU) and Riverland Community College (RCC) formed a sister college partnership in 2003. Now in 2009, the possibility of establishing another sister partnership is being explored for Austin High School and a college preparatory school located on the KNTU campus. Other sister organizational partnerships are being considered between Kherson and Austin among environmental groups and even businesses.

Existing US-Ukraine Sister City partnerships, such as between Yalta in Crimea and Santa Barbara in California, are invited to participate in this 2009 project to develop "virtual sisters" websites to facilitate exchanges of students, faculty and others via travel, e-mail, distance learning, cross-enrollment in on-line as well as off-line courses, transfers of credits for such courses, and other communications and collaborations on study, research and community projects.

Time here is Ukrainian time.

If you're on East Coast of US subtract 7 hours or on West Coast 10 hours, where it is 50 minutes past midnight now.
